‘I don’t do everything for power or votes’, PM Modi said during election campaign
Lok Sabha elections 2024 have started. All the political parties are busy in preparations to ensure their respective victory. Meanwhile, PM Modi has answered questions on many important issues including vote bank politics. PM Modi has said a big thing that his every action is not motivated only by electoral considerations or power. He said in an interview that just because I am a politician does not mean that whatever work I do is only to win elections or for power or for votes.
…then I would not have developed in the North East
Prime Minister Narendra Modi has said that if votes or election victory were his only objective, he would not have given priority to the development of the North-Eastern region. PM Modi further said that if my aim was only to win the elections, I would not have worked for the development of the North-East. I have visited the North-Eastern states more than all the former Prime Ministers.
Tamil language should be promoted
PM Modi said in the interview that just as Tamil Nadu’s cuisine has been globalised, similarly we should promote the use of Tamil language. The PM has said that we have done injustice to the great heritage of Tamil Nadu. The oldest language in the world is in India, yet we are not proud of it. The appreciation of this rich heritage should reach the entire world.
400 seats, public’s decision
PM Modi talked about the slogans being raised to win 400 seats in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections 2024. He said that this is the public’s decision. The people of the country have decided Mission 400, not me. The PM said that people have realized the importance of political stability and the power of their vote. Let us tell you that there are 39 Lok Sabha constituencies in Tamil Nadu. Voting is taking place in a single phase on April 19 in the state.
