The RSS letter said that Moon had earlier tried to register an ‘organisation’ in the name ‘RSS’, but it was rejected by the Assistant Registrar of Societies and his petitions challenging it were rejected by the Bombay High Court. Had given.

The Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh, in a letter to the Nagpur Police Commissioner and the Election Commission, said that Janardan Moon does not have any registered organization as RSS, but is holding press conferences at various places only for the purpose of misleading. The letter said the police should take action against Moon under sections 416, 419 and 505 of the Indian Penal Code as well as provisions of the Representation of the People Act. Moon could not be contacted despite repeated attempts to seek comment.
