Deepak Sharma suspended by AIFF, accused of assaulting female football players

After two days, today i.e. on Tuesday, AIFF has finally suspended Deepak Sharma on charges of assaulting female players. Sharma will remain suspended till further notice. Let us tell you that Deepak has been accused of allegedly killing two female players in Goa.

Female players had accused of assault
All India Football Federation (AIFF) has today suspended executive committee member Deepak Sharma. He is accused of assaulting two female players. Let us tell you that in the Indian Women’s Football League Second Division, two women players from Himachal Pradesh have accused club owner Sharma of coming to their room on March 28 and also assaulted them.

Sports Minister Anurag Thakur orders AIFF to take immediate action
The AIFF on Saturday had ordered Deepak to stay away from football-related activities during the investigation. Deepak was arrested by Goa Police. After which he was also released on bail.

Earlier on Monday, AIFF President Kalyan Choubey, Vice President NA Harris and Treasurer Kipa Ajay took note of the players’ allegations. After which a meeting of the members was held. The meeting also heard Deepak’s side. Let us tell you that the women players had alleged that Sharma was in an intoxicated state. Along with this, he is also feeling threat to his life from Deepak. Sports Minister Anurag Thakur has also ordered AIFF to take immediate action in this matter.
