The thug called the victim’s father and said that CBI officer is speaking, your son is trapped in a rape case, if you want to save him, then transfer money online. In panic, the victim got fooled by the thugs and sent money to his number. Given. By the time he came to know the truth it was too late. The cyber thug committed the crime and switched off the phone. At present, on the complaint of the victim, the police have registered an FIR and started investigation.

Let us tell you that in Basti district, cyber thugs, posing as CBI officers and calling their son a rape accused, cheated the victim’s father online to the tune of Rs 1.37 lakh. This incident took place in Kuriyar village of Munderwa police station area. On the complaint of Ramraksha, who became the victim of fraud, the police have registered a case and started investigating the matter.

Victim Ramraksha told that he got scared when the thugs threatened him. During this time, to save her son from the rape case, she transferred Rs 1 lakh 37 thousand through Phone Pay by giving three different account numbers. Introducing himself as a Crime Branch and CBI officer, he said, “Your son has been brought from his college in Noida and arrested in a rape case. If you want to free your son, then arrange money.”

Out of fear, Ramraksha sent money to the phone numbers of thugs Nitish Kumar and Raju Ansari. After giving the money, Ramraksha tried to talk to his son but he could not be contacted. Later his son called back and the fraud came to light.

Another fraud case

At the same time, another case has come to light from Rudauli police station area where a father was duped of Rs 1.5 lakh by talking about kidnapping of his son. Cyber ​​thugs called the father of a high school student and said that his child has been kidnapped and by using his exact voice, they threatened the father that if he did not pay the money, his child would be murdered.

After this, in panic, the child’s father hurriedly transferred the money online to the cyber thug. After this, when he called his son a few times, he told that he was absolutely fine and had switched off his mobile as he was sitting in the exam. After which the victim went to the local police station and lodged an FIR, but the police are still empty handed in this matter.

Basti’s Additional Superintendent of Police OP Singh said that in the present times the pattern of crime of criminals is changing. Now criminals are extorting money from innocent people by tricking them through phone. To deal with cyber criminals, the police is continuously running awareness campaigns from time to time to make people aware. However, people still need to be more aware so that no one can commit cyber crimes against them. As far as these two incidents are concerned, the police have registered a case and further investigative action is being taken.
