An era has ended
Addressing Manmohan Singh, Kharge wrote that today when you are retiring from the Rajya Sabha after serving for more than three decades, an era has come to an end. Very few people can say that they have served our country with more dedication and devotion than you. Very few people have worked as much as you for the country and its people.
You have always been a source of knowledge
In the letter, Kharge wrote, it is a personal privilege for me to be a part of your cabinet. In the last 10 years that I have been the leader of the Congress Party in the Lok Sabha and the Rajya Sabha, you have always been a source of knowledge and someone whose advice I value. Over the past few years, you have made sure to remain available to the Congress party despite personal inconveniences. The party and I will always be grateful for this.
