Uttarakhand: Dead body of soldier reached Someshwar, martyred in Naxalite encounter in Manipur, cabinet minister paid tribute

The mortal remains of Kamal Bhakuni (24), serving in 16 Kumaon Regiment, who was martyred in a Naxalite encounter, reached Someshwar on Thursday. As soon as the mortal remains arrived, there was an uproar among his family members. During this, Someshwar MLA Rekha Arya paid tribute to the martyr.

Had joined the army only four years ago
Kamal Singh Bhakuni had joined the army only four years ago. He had returned to duty after leave only 25 days ago. Martyr’s father Chandan Singh does farming in Bhakuni village. While mother Deepa Bhakuni is a housewife. Kamal’s elder brother Pradeep Bhakuni is also in the army. According to village head Ramesh Bhakuni, Kamal was martyred due to bullet injury.
