Uttarakhand / Dehradun: Youth drowned in river while bathing in Katapatthar, SDRF recovered body

A young man drowned in the river while bathing in Katpathar area of Vikasnagar. After receiving the information, the police team reached the spot along with SDRF personnel. SDRF has recovered the body of the deceased youth from the river.

The incident is said to have taken place on Saturday. The deceased has been identified as Shivam Bhatnagar (19), son of Mahavir Prasad, resident of Babugarh Vikasnagar. Giving information, the police said that the police had received information about the youth drowning in the river. Taking cognizance, SDRF team immediately reached the spot.

SDRF team recovered the body
After reaching the spot, the SDRF team worked hard and conducted an intensive search operation through deep diving at a depth of about 20 feet, recovered the body of the youth drowned in the river and handed it over to the police. The police have taken the body of the deceased in their custody and sent it for post-mortem.
