Uttarakhand: Snowfall in Darma and Vyas valley, tourists enjoyed

The weather changed and snowfall started in the high Himalayan areas of Darma valley bordering China in Pithoragarh district. Snowfall occurred in more than 14 villages of Darma and Vyas valley. The tourists who visited Panchachuli thoroughly enjoyed the snowfall. The cold in the area has increased since the snowfall.

The weather changed on Friday afternoon and snowfall started in the high Himalayan region of Darma Valley bordering China in the frontier district. Snowfall occurred in 14 villages of Darma valley. While the villagers seemed happy with another snowfall, on the other hand the tourists who came to visit Panchachuli enjoyed the snowfall.
Cold increased after snowfall
The cold has increased after snowfall in Darma and Vyas valley. According to the information received, the weather suddenly started worsening on Friday afternoon. By evening it rained in Darma and Vyas valley and then snowfall started. It is being told that up to one foot of snow has fallen on the mountains and up to six inches of snow has fallen in the villages.
More than 100 travelers have reached Panchachuli Glacier so far
The guide team along with the tourists enjoyed this sudden snowfall. 14 villages of Darma valley and 7 villages of Vyas valley received rain and snowfall. There was snowfall but the road on Tawaghat-Lipulekh road till Gunji and from Gunji till Kuti is open. Due to which more than a hundred travelers have come to see Panchachuli Glacier in the last one month.
