If you are enrolling your child in Class 1 this year or in the coming years, then keep in mind that the age of the child should be six years or more. If your child’s age is less than 6 years then the child will not be admitted in class 1.

Six years of age is mandatory for the child to enroll in class 1
Under the new education policy issued by the Central Government, it is mandatory for children entering Class 1 to be 6 years of age. Whereas under the old education policy, the age of admission of children was 5 years. But now after this mandate of the Central Government, parents are facing problems.

Even if the age is 5 years and 12 months, admission will not be possible
Under the new education policy, if your child has completed UKG studies. After that, if you are going to admit the child in Class 1, then if his age is less than 5 years 12 months by even one day, then his admission will not be in Class 1. Now parents are getting very worried under the new education policy.

There are many children who have received UKG education and the age of those children is less than 6 years. Where under the new education policy, government and private schools are refusing to admit children. In such a situation, many parents will be forced to keep their children at home for one year.

What is the new education policy?
In the new education policy, the 10+2 format will be completely abolished and changed to 5+3+3+4 format. This means that the first five years of school will now include three years of pre-primary school and the foundation stage including Class 1 and Class 2. The next three years will then be divided into the preparation phase for classes 3 to 5.

This is followed by three years of middle stage (classes 6 to 8) and four years of secondary stage (classes 9 to 12). Apart from this, there will be no strict adherence to Arts, Commerce, Science stream in schools, students can now take whatever course they want.
