Uttarakhand: Entry of heavy vehicles restricted in Haridwar, police released route plan for Somvati Amavasya Snan festival

Haridwar Police has released the route plan regarding Somvati Amavasya Snan. Entry of heavy vehicles in the city will be restricted from 12 o’clock on Sunday night till the end of bathing on Monday.

• Vehicles coming to Haridwar from Delhi, Meerut, Muzaffarnagar for bathing will come to Narsan, Mangalore, Core College, Khyati Dhaba, Gurukul Kangri, Shankaracharya Chowk, Haridwar and will be parked at Alaknanda, Deendayal, Pantdweep, Chamkadar Island. Due to increase in traffic pressure, Nagla will be sent from Imarti Underpass, Landhaura, Laksar, Sultanpur, Ferrupur, SM Tiraha towards Shriyantra Pulia Parking Bairagi Camp.
• Vehicles coming to Haridwar for bathing from Punjab-Haryana will come to Haridwar via Saharanpur, Mandawar, Bhagwanpur, Salier, Bijauli Chowk, NH 344, Nagla Imarti, Core College, Bahadarabad Bypass, Harilok Tiraha, Gurukul Kangri, Haridwar and will pass through Alaknanda, Deendayal, Pantdweep and Will be parked in Chamkadar Island.
• Tourist buses, tractor-trolleys coming to Haridwar from Delhi for bathing will be parked at Rishikul Ground, Safe Parking, Hariram Inter College.
• Small vehicles coming from Najibabad of UP will be parked at Deendayal, Pantdweep, Batgad Island via Chidiyapur, Shyampur, Chandi Chowki, Chandi Chowk.
• Vehicles coming from Dehradun-Rishikesh will be sent to Motichur parking from Nepali Farm, Raiwala, Dudhadhari Tiraha.
• Light vehicles and buses coming to Haridwar from Najibabad, UP will remain in the Roadways Bus Stand Gauri Shankar parking. Vehicles going from Najibabad to Dehradun will depart for Dehradun by taking U-turn from Gauri Shankar, Hanuman Chowk, South Kali Tiraha, Bhimgora, Barrage, Highway, Chandighat Chowk underpass from 4.2.
• Except for essential services, heavy vehicles coming from Najibabad to Haridwar will be diverted from Mandawali via Balawali bridge via Laksar, Pathri, Singhdwar.
• Autos coming from Dehradun-Rishikesh, Vikram, will be sent back by taking a U-turn from Jairam turn. Autos coming from Jwalapur will return from Vikram Shivmurti Tiraha via Tulsi Chowk to Devpura Tiraha.
• Those coming from Jagjitpur will return from Singhdwar. Those coming from Kankhal will return from Tulsi Chowk. Vikram/autos and e-rickshaws coming from BHEL will return via Bhagat Singh Chowk via Tibri Gate, Old Ranipur mode from Rishikul Tiraha.

Zero zone will remain here

• There will be zero zone from Chandi Chowk to Valmiki Chowk to Shivmurti Chowk.
• There will be zero zone from Shivmurti Chowk to Harki Pauri.
• There will be zero zone from Bhimgowda barrier to Harki Pauri.
