On Saturday, a tipper going from Didihat to Dunakot in Pithoragarh district met with an accident. The tipper went out of control and fell into a 200 meter deep gorge. In this accident the driver died on the spot. According to the information received, Jagdish Gaida (52), son of Nandan Singh Gaida, resident of Dhaulet, was going towards Dunakot at 8:30 in the morning with his vehicle (UK 05 CA 1789). During this time he became a victim of an accident.
Technical fault is said to be the reason for the accident
It is being told that UK 05 CA 1789 went out of control and fell into a ditch near Antodha Band, about 15 km from Didihat. In this tragic accident, Jagdish Gaida died on the spot. The reason behind the accident is said to be a technical fault in the vehicle.

As soon as information about the incident was received, the police team led by Police Station Head Vijendra Sah reached the spot. Police took the body out of the ditch with the help of local people.
