Uttarakhand: Vehicles carrying EVM machines will be equipped with GPS, nodal officers will keep an eye

Voting is to be held in Uttarakhand on 19th April. Regarding which the Election Commission is busy in completing all the preparations. This time, the Commission is going to monitor the vehicles carrying and transporting EVM machines along with some officers and polling parties on election duty through GPS system. It is being told that this work is being done for the first time following the instructions of the Election Commission for fair and transparent voting and monitoring of EVM machines.

Divisional Transport Officer of Haldwani Sandeep Saini said that following the instructions of the Election Commission, the process of installing GPS in the vehicles of all sector and zonal magistrates engaged in election duty has started. GPS system has also been installed in the vehicles of FST i.e. Flying Squad Team and SST i.e. Static Surveillance Team of the Election Department.

Apart from this, 60 GPS systems have been installed in 106 Sector Magistrate vehicles. Whereas, action has been taken to install GPS system in 15 of the 49 zonal magistrate vehicles. At the same time, action is being taken to install GPS in other vehicles also. GPS systems will also be installed in the polling parties leaving for the polling place and the vehicles carrying EVM machines.

Vehicles deployed on election duty will be monitored

He said that with the installation of GPS system, the movement of vehicles will be monitored. For which a center has been set up in the election office, Haldwani. Nodal officers of the transport department will monitor all GPS fitted vehicles. With the installation of GPS, the vehicles deployed on election duty can be monitored to know which area the vehicle has gone to and where its movement is taking place. Apart from this, some vehicles have also been kept in reserve, which will be equipped with GPS. If any vehicle breaks down, another vehicle can be made available in place of that vehicle.

At the same time, Election Nodal Officer Vishal Mishra said that while on one hand the personnel are being given training in the elections, on the other hand the employees engaged in polling duty are also casting their vote through postal ballot. Besides, GPS tracking devices are being installed in the vehicles of all the officers engaged in elections, so that the location of the vehicles can be known. Apart from this, from April 8, disabled people and voters above 85 years of age will be able to cast their vote through postal ballot.

He was addicted to drugs and often used to demand money from his mother. There used to be a lot of quarrel between the two when the mother refused. The father told that Manmohan was missing from home since the incident. After which, he expressed doubt that maybe his son had committed the murder and set the room on fire. The police already suspected the son The police immediately registered a case against the son and started investigation. After which, on the night of 14 August, the police arrested Manmohan Singh from Kulhal area. During interrogation, Manmohan Singh confessed his crime. He told that he has been addicted to drugs for a long time. He has already gone to jail in drug smuggling and Arms Act cases. On the day of the incident, he had asked his mother for money for drugs. But his mother refused to give him money and also did not let him go out of the house. He fled with the money after the murder After which, Manmohan Singh, in anger, attacked his mother’s neck with a wooden stick kept in the house. Due to which she died on the spot. After the murder, Manmohan Singh wrapped the body in a mattress and set it on fire so that it appeared that the woman died due to burning. Manmohan fled on a motorcycle with 30 thousand rupees kept in the cupboard of the house and his clothes.
