Delhi High Court strongly rebuked the petition to remove Kejriwal from the post of CM

Delhi High Court on Monday strongly reprimanded a former Aam Aadmi Party MLA. Who had approached the court for directions to remove Arvind Kejriwal from the post of Chief Minister of Delhi after his arrest by the Enforcement Directorate in the money laundering case.

Petitioner Sandeep Kumar criticized
Justice Subramaniam Prasad criticized petitioner Sandeep Kumar for filing the petition. However, two similar petitions filed by others had already been dismissed by the High Court. The court commented that why shouldn’t a heavy fine be imposed on you.

This is a publicity interest petition
The single judge remarked that similar cases had been heard and dismissed by a bench of Acting Chief Justice Manmohan. Also said that this is a publicity interest petition and nothing else. Ultimately the case proceeded to be transferred to the bench of the Acting Chief Justice, as that bench had previously heard similar petitions.

Let us tell you that this is the third petition to remove CM Kejriwal from the post, which has been rejected by the High Court. Earlier, on March 28, the High Court had rejected a PIL filed by a person named Surjit Singh Yadav.

The High Court had said that it is the job of the executive and the President to investigate this issue and the court cannot interfere in it. Subsequently, on April 4, the court refused to entertain another PIL filed by Vishnu Gupta, who is the president of Hindu Sena. The court had said that it would be Kejriwal’s personal decision whether he would remain the CM or not. The bench then gave a hint saying that sometimes, personal interest has to be subordinated to national interest, but this is Kejriwal’s personal decision.

Sandeep Kumar filed the third petition
The third petition was filed by Sandeep Kumar in which it was said that despite being in jail, Kejriwal continues to hold the post of Chief Minister of Delhi, which not only gives rise to many constitutional complications but also violates the right to life of the people of Delhi. Also violates the guarantee.
