Uttarakhand: DM reached the village on foot to convince the villagers, local people took back the decision to boycott the elections

The villagers of Seal village of Champawat district, who have been demanding road construction for a long time, had announced boycott of the Lok Sabha elections. In view of the election boycott by the villagers, on Monday DM Champawat Navneet Pandey walked eight kilometers to the village to pacify the angry villagers. After talks with the DM, the villagers have withdrawn the decision to boycott the elections.

Let us tell you that when the District Magistrate reached the village, the villagers gave him a warm welcome. Let us tell you that the villagers of Seal village saw the DM in the village for the first time after independence. The villagers looked very happy to see the DM. The villagers placed the demand for road construction in front of the DM. On which the District Magistrate assured the villagers of road construction soon.

Decision to boycott elections withdrawn
DM Pandey explained to the villagers that election boycott is not the solution to any problem. Therefore, you people should vote as much as possible. On the assurance of DM, the villagers have withdrawn the decision to boycott the elections. Villagers said that on April 19, direct voting will be held in both the polling booths of the village.
