Dehradun tops in taking permission for publicity, helicopter and vehicle in Uttarakhand, 360 permissions canceled

Dehradun ranks first in terms of obtaining permission for publicity, helicopter and vehicles. So far, 2,121 permissions have been sought from the Election Commission, out of which the Commission has given 1,721. Additional Chief Electoral Officer Vijay Kumar Jogdande told in the media centre, various apps and portals have been prepared by the Commission to make the election process easier and simpler. The enrollment process can be done through the Suvidha portal. During the campaign period, publicity permissions, helicopter permissions, vehicle permissions, posters, banners and other permissions are made available through the Suvidha App.
One can also apply for permissions and get permission through online mode. So far, 2,121 requests for permissions have been received through the Suvidha portal in the state. Out of that, 1,721 permissions have been granted. 360 permissions have been canceled due to lack of complete documents or not being in the prescribed format.
Action on remaining permissions is in progress. Maximum 306 permissions have been given in Dehradun district, 299 in Haridwar and 288 in Udham Singh Nagar. Various permissions can be taken till 17th April.
Most complaints of putting up wrong posters
Additional Chief Electoral Officer said, the state is also making good progress in C-Vigil app. Uttarakhand is included in the top three states of the country. So far, 17,377 complaints have been received on C-Vigil, out of which 16,800 complaints have been resolved. 554 complaints were found baseless. Maximum complaints, 3,737, have been received in Pauri, 3,254 in Tehri district and 2,600 in Haridwar. The least number of complaints have been received in Almora at 162, Bageshwar at 184 and Uttarkashi at 512. More than 10 thousand complaints of illegal posters have been received.
More than 89 thousand people downloaded e-postal ballot
Additional Chief Electoral Officer Jogdande said, 93,187 Electronically Transmitted Postal Ballot System (ETPBS) were issued to service voters. Could download till 7th April. 89,0047 applications were downloaded. He requested all service voters to take advantage of this facility and send them before counting of votes.
