Pakistan has once again left India behind by a huge margin in the United Nations Happiness Report. While Pakistan has got 108th position in this happiness report, India is at 126th position in this list, which is quite low. This ranking was released on Wednesday. Finland has been declared the happiest country in the world for the seventh consecutive year. Finland is followed by Denmark, Iceland and Sweden. After this come Israel, Netherlands, Norway, Luxembourg, Switzerland and Australia. In this list, Afghanistan has been given the worst ranking of 143, which is facing humanitarian crisis since the coming of Taliban rule.
This report has been published for more than a decade, but this is the first time that America and Germany are not in the list of the 20 happiest countries. In this survey, America got 23rd position while Germany got 24th position. Whereas Costa Rica and Kuwait have entered the top 20 and have been ranked 12th and 13th respectively. It has been said in this report that the largest countries of the world are not included in the top list of the happiest countries.

The report says, ‘Netherlands and Australia are the only countries in the list of top 10 countries whose population is 1.5 crore. Canada and Britain are the only countries in the list of top 20 countries whose population is more than 3 crores. The biggest decline has come in the rankings of Afghanistan, Lebanon and Jordan. Whereas the ranking of Eastern European countries Serbia, Bulgaria and Latvia has increased the most. Happiness ranking is decided on the basis of people’s life satisfaction, GDP per capita, social support, healthy life expectancy, freedom and corruption.

This year, this is the first time that separate lists of countries have been determined on the basis of age. In this, Lithuania is the happiest country among people under 30 years of age. Pakistan has got 107th position, India has got 127th position and Bangladesh has got 128th position. Similarly, Denmark has got the first place in the list of people aged 60 years and above. Pakistan is at 112, India at 121 and Bangladesh at 120. 143 countries are included in this list.
