But this does not work 70 percent of the time.
50 out of 173 towers have been installed – BSNL
According to BSNL GM Mahesh Singh Nirkhupa, 173 towers are to be installed in this area. Out of which 50 have been installed. He told that 24 towers are to be installed on the border out post from Milam in Munsiyari to Gunji in Dharchula. After the installation of these towers, the soldiers engaged in security in the high Himalayan region will get convenience in communication.
Gram Panchayats will soon be connected with optical fiber
Mahesh Singh Nirkhupa, GM of Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited, said that under the Bharat Net project, more than seven thousand villages of Uttarakhand will be connected with optical fiber. He informed that efforts are being made to connect 7966 gram panchayats through ring connectivity through optical fiber.
