This is how hudka is made

Let us tell you that the cord of Hudka is made from light wood of Khin tree. This tree is found in many areas of Uttarakhand. Along with this, in the plains, the trunk of the Hudka is also made from the stem of the plum tree. Whereas its coils are made from cane wood. In this only the skin of goat or sheep is set. Along with invoking the gods, Hudka is also played at the time of paddy transplantation in Kumaon, Uttarakhand and a song is also sung during this time. Which is called Hudkiya Bol.
