The discovery of dead body in Naini Lake has created a sensation in the area. Pedestrians strolling on the lake shore in Tallital area informed the police that they saw a dead body landing in the lake. After which the police took the body into custody. The body has been identified as that of a retired forest worker.

Sensation due to dead body found in Naini Lake
There was a stir on Wednesday when a dead body was found floating in Tallital police station area of Naini Lake in Nainital district. On Wednesday morning, passersby strolling along the lake informed the police that the dead body of an elderly person was seen in the lake. After which the police reached the spot and took possession of the body and sent it for post-mortem.

Identified as a retired forest worker
According to the information received, the body has been identified as Ramesh Arya, resident of Bhawali Shyamkhet. The deceased was retired from the Forest Department. It is being told that he had come to Treasury Nainital for some work related to his pension. After getting the post-mortem done, the police handed over the body to the family members.

Clear cause of death could not be known
When the police reached the spot, they found a mobile phone at a short distance from there. Which was identified only after contact. Family members say that he had come to Nainital from home in the morning for pension related work. The cause of death has not been known yet. The police have been involved in the investigation of the case.
