Let us tell you that about 25 roadways buses are operated daily from Nainital. Which goes from Nainital to Haldwani, Dehradun, Delhi, Mussoorie and Agra. Uttarakhand Transport Corporation is already facing shortage of drivers, conductors and buses. Due to the duty of buses during the Lok Sabha elections, the problems of the passengers have increased further.
Passengers are facing problems
Already, due to shortage of drivers, conductors and buses, buses were not operating on many roadways routes. At the same time, due to shortage of buses, operation of already running routes is also being hampered. The problems of passengers have increased due to non-operation of buses. Passengers are forced to resort to taxis. This is directly affecting their pockets.
Operation of two routes remained disrupted
Let us tell you that on Monday, the operation of buses on two roadways routes Nainital-Gopeshwar, Nainital-Dehradun was disrupted. Now buses are operating only on four routes. Roadways General Manager Pooja Joshi said that the demand for 12 buses from Haldwani Kathgodam and Bhawali depot for election duty has already been met. On Monday, demand for 34 more 35 seater buses came.
