‘Assembly elections in Jammu and Kashmir soon, full statehood will be restored’- PM Modi

In the campaign for Lok Sabha elections 2024, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday made a big announcement regarding restoration of full statehood in Jammu and Kashmir and holding assembly elections soon. In the Udhampur rally, PM Modi also took a dig at the increasing irritation among all political parties including the National Conference and PDP after the removal of Article 370.

Prime Minister said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi made two big announcements on Friday regarding restoration of full statehood in Jammu and Kashmir and holding of assembly elections there soon. PM Modi made these important announcements while addressing an election rally at Modi Ground in Battal Waliya, Udhampur during the campaign for Lok Sabha elections 2024.

Close vigil and strict security arrangements at every nook and corner in Udhampur
In the Udhampur rally, amidst tight security arrangements and tight security arrangements by all the security forces including SPG, PM Modi said, ‘The time is not far when assembly elections will be held in Jammu and Kashmir. Jammu and Kashmir will get back the status of state. There will be open investment in Jammu and Kashmir and new dimensions of development will be established here. Reply to political parties like National Conference and PDP
All the political parties including National Conference and PDP have been demanding elections in Jammu and Kashmir since the abolition of Article 370. PM Modi has given him the correct answer at the right time. PM Modi said that he has demolished the wall of Article 370. Not only this, its debris has also been buried in the ground. PM Modi said that people were confused about Article 370. Now this illusion has been broken.

Ask the sisters and daughters of Kashmir about the benefits of removal of Article 370
PM Modi said, ‘Now see, he did not succeed here, the people of Jammu and Kashmir recognized him. Opponents say that there was no benefit in removing Article 370. Ask the sisters and daughters here what benefits have been gained from the removal of 370. Now everyone here has started getting the rights given in the Constitution. Now even the families of our army soldiers are not worried that stone pelting is going on in the valley. Now the people of the valley also sleep peacefully because their child is not going in wrong company. Now AIIMS are being built here, world class roads, IITs are being built, IIMs are being built. Modern tunnels are being built.

PM Modi reminded people of the Ekta Yatra held in 1992
Adding local connection in his address, PM Modi said, ‘I have been coming to Udhampur for the last several decades. I have been visiting the land of Jammu and Kashmir for the last 5 decades. I remember the grand welcome and respect given to you here during the Ekta Yatra in 1992. You also know that at that time our mission was to hoist the tricolor at Lal Chowk, at that time the mothers and sisters had given a lot of blessings.

He said, ‘In the year 2014, I had given you a guarantee that I will liberate Jammu and Kashmir from whatever it has suffered. With today’s blessings, Modi has fulfilled that guarantee. This is the first election in Jammu and Kashmir after decades when terrorism, separatism, stone pelting, bandhs, strikes, firing from across the border are not election issues.
