Voting is to be held on 102 Lok Sabha seats across the country on Friday. This time the Election Commission has prepared many special apps for the convenience of voters. Your name can be found in the voter list through these apps of the Election Commission. Which voter has to go to which polling station and cast his vote through the Voter Helpline App. Details of which booth it is can also be found on the app. Voter Helpline App can be downloaded from Google Play Store or Apple Store. The Election Commission is using more than two dozen similar apps in the elections. Their complete information is available on the website of the Election Commission.

Till now, voters had to depend on BLOs or party workers for their voter slip, but now voters can get their voter slip with photo through the Voter Helpline App.

Response within 100 minutes

The Election Commission says that recording, reporting and reporting of violations can also be done through their other apps. Within 100 minutes the response team will reach the spot. The first phase of voting for the Lok Sabha elections is going to be held on April 19. In the first phase of voting, votes will be cast on 102 seats in 21 states.

Facility to complete affidavit and KYC through the app

This time in the Lok Sabha elections, the Election Commission will help people through 27 apps and IT systems. Nomination and affidavit can be submitted through the Suvidha portal. Along with this, candidates can also take permission for their rallies and meetings through this app. In this sequence, the Election Commission is also sharing information about ‘Myth versus Reality’. The Election Commission says that these steps are being taken to make people aware about the misinformation coming on social media. This information is being made available to the people through the website. Apart from this, candidates with criminal record have to give information about their criminal record in newspapers three times. We have to tell about this on TV also. Also, the concerned political parties have to share information regarding the selection of candidates with criminal records.

How many people are eligible to vote this time?

The Election Commission of India has informed that about 97 crore Indians will be eligible to vote in this Lok Sabha election. The Election Commission has reported that 96.88 crore people in India are registered to vote for the upcoming general elections, which is the largest voter pool in the world. According to the Commission, the number of registered voters has increased by six percent since the last Lok Sabha elections 2019.
