Traveling in the toilet, no place to put feet in the coach… Rahul Gandhi raised questions by sharing the video of the train
The second phase of voting for Lok Sabha elections 2024 will be held on 26 April. In this phase, voting will be held on all the 20 seats of Kerala. Five days before voting, Congress MP from Wayanad Rahul Gandhi has attacked the Modi government by sharing a video of the Kerala Express train running from New Delhi to Thiruvananthapuram with his X handle. In the video, some people are seen lying near the toilet in the AC coach of the train. A lot of crowd is visible inside the coach also.
While sharing the video, Rahul Gandhi wrote in the caption, ‘Under Narendra Modi’s rule, train journey has become a punishment. Passengers of every category are being harassed by the Modi government which is promoting only elite trains by reducing general coaches from common man’s trains. People are not able to sit peacefully on their seats even with confirmed tickets. The common man is forced to travel hiding on the ground and in toilets. The Modi government wants to prove its worthlessness by weakening the Railways with its policies, so that it can get an excuse to sell it to its friends. If the ridership of the common man is to be saved, then the Modi government which is engaged in ruining the Railways will have to be removed.
The video shared by Rahul Gandhi was shot by a boy traveling by Kerala Express. At the end of the video, the boy can be seen telling in Malayalam that this is the condition of the Kerala Express going from Delhi to Thiruvananthapuram Express. He is telling that there is a huge crowd in the coach of the train and some passengers are traveling sitting in the toilet. Due to huge crowd, passengers are forced to travel sitting on the floor of the train and are seen sitting on top of each other. The boy is saying that even those who have tickets in AC coach are not able to sit properly on their seats.
