Uttarakhand: CM Dhami in action regarding forest fire, instructions to issue helpline number and toll free number
Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami is seen in action mode solving the problems of the people without stopping and without getting tired. It started with Chief Minister Dhami taking a meeting on forest fire prevention and bluntly told the Forest Department officials that the responsibility of the concerned officer will be fixed on forest fire incidents. Along with this, the Chief Minister has indicated to hold a meeting soon regarding Chardham Yatra, drinking water system and preparations to deal with monsoon.
CM Dhami in action regarding forest fire
Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami is back in action mode from Saturday after being in election mode for about 35 days. This has created a stir among the officials who have been avoiding the basic problems of the public on the pretext of election preparations for about one and a quarter month. As soon as Chief Minister Dhami reached Dehradun from Kumaon tour, the first thing he did was hold a meeting with state and district level officials and agencies related to forest fire prevention at the government residence regarding forest fire prevention.
Fire incidents should be prevented by making microplans
Chief Minister Dhami said that the four months of summer are a big challenge for the state due to forest fire incidents. In such a situation, nodal officers at the state and district level should make a microplan and start working effectively on the Onegin prevention plan from now on. The officers should decide on priority that first of all no incident of forest fire should happen, if any information is received then they should immediately take preventive steps with responsibility.
Nodal officers should be nominated
The Chief Minister also directed that nodal officers at the level of Forest Officer in Charge should be nominated in all the districts. Apart from this, awareness should be brought among the people by issuing helpline numbers and toll-free numbers and giving them wide publicity. The Chief Minister directed that for the prevention of forest fire, forest department, agencies as well as local people, public representatives, forest panchayats should work together. Take help from others also.
The officers working at a slow pace are looking very uncomfortable as Chief Minister Dhami came into action as soon as the voting was over. Chief Minister Dhami clearly said that every problem of the public should be solved on time. Any kind of negligence will not be tolerated in this. The Chief Minister asked the officials to come to the meeting fully prepared and also instructed the subordinates to come out of their election busyness and get involved in routine work.
