Snow removed from Kedarnath Yatra route, reconstruction work started in Dham, till now 7 thousand horses and mules have got licenses
Preparations for Kedarnath Yatra are going on in full swing these days. After the snow has been removed from the footpath, the movement of horses and mules has also started. On the other hand, these days a large number of travelers are registering online to visit Kedarnath Dham. Registration is mandatory to come on the journey. Online booking of heli service has also been completed till the month of June. In such a situation, it is expected that this time also a record breaking number of passengers will come on the yatra.
Kedarnath walking path opened
The walking route till Kedarnath Dham has opened. These days, essential materials and reconstruction items are being transported to the Dham by horses and mules. The second phase of reconstruction work has also started in the Dham. The work in the Dham was stopped since last December. These days, a large number of passengers are registering online to travel. The tickets for the heli service are full till the month of June. It is expected that this time also 8 to 9 heli services will fly to Kedarnath from places like Guptkashi, Phata, Shershi, Badasu etc. Looking at the way heli tickets are being booked and passengers are getting registered, it seems that this time too the yatra will set a new record.
Licenses issued for 7 thousand horses and mules
On the other hand, licenses for seven thousand horses and mules have been issued for the pilgrimage to Kedarnath Dham. These horses and mules will play an important role in the upcoming journey. The doors of the world famous Baba Kedarnath Dham will be opened on 10th May. The departments related to the Yatra have started preparations for the successful conduct of the Kedarnath Dham Yatra. The process of making licenses as per the roster started in the district from March 12th.
Tags placed on the bodies of horses and mules
The Animal Husbandry Department has put tags on the bodies of the animals along with health certificates, insurance, sampling of glanders disease. After which the District Panchayat has issued licenses to the animal owners. Till now, on the basis of fitness certificate of 7 thousand horses and mules, licenses have been issued to them for conducting the yatra. Apart from this, they are also being made online by G Max company, who will provide their services during the journey.
Now Dandi Kandi licenses will be made
Now the work of registration and licensing of Dandi Kandi and hawkers will be done in Sonprayag. District Panchayat Tax Inspector Gyanendra Bagwadi said that after the issuance of medical fitness certificates through camps in the district, licenses for 7000 horses and mules have now been issued. He told that soon after registration of Hakar and Dandi Kandi laborers in Sonprayag, licenses will be made.
