The 11 districts where the Meteorological Center has predicted rain include Uttarkashi, Chamoli, Rudraprayag, Tehri, Pauri, Dehradun, Pithoragarh, Bageshwar, Almora and Champawat. These are all hill districts. According to the Meteorological Center, there will be light rain at some places in Uttarkashi. There is a possibility of light rain at isolated places in Chamoli, Rudraprayag, Tehri and Pauri. There will be rain in the hilly areas of Dehradun. There will also be rain in five districts of Kumaon, Pithoragarh, Almora, Bageshwar, Champawat and Nainital.

According to the Meteorological Center, there will be snowfall in these districts in areas at a height of 4000 meters and above. There is a possibility of lightning along with thunder in Uttarkashi, Chamoli, Rudraprayag, Dehradun, Pithoragarh and Bageshwar.

Director of Meteorological Center Vikram Singh has suggested the farmers that in view of the forecast of rain, if the harvested crop is in the field, then they should keep it in a safe place. In view of the possibility of thunder and lightning, it is suggested to stay indoors and keep the windows and doors closed during that time. Scientists also suggest that one should stay away from electrical appliances during thunderstorms and lightning. During this time, people who will be outside should not stand under the trees. It has also been advised not to tie animals outside during lightning.
