Pakistan’s satellite will reach the moon with the help of Chinese rocket
Pakistan is busy preparing to reach the moon. Its moon mission will be named iCUBE-Q. However, not Pakistan but China will have a major contribution in reaching the moon. For the moon mission, Pakistan’s Institute of Space Technology (IST) has developed a satellite in collaboration with China’s Shanghai University SJTU and national space agency SUPARCO. This satellite will be launched on Friday, May 3, along with China’s Chang E-6 mission.
IST has called this mission of Pakistan historic. Know how Pakistan’s moon mission will be, what is its aim and how much help China is providing in it.
How is Pakistan’s moon mission?
Pakistan’s orbiter ICUBE-Q will not land on the moon. It will do its work while being in its orbit. This orbiter has two optical chambers which will take pictures of the moon’s surface. After successful testing of the orbiter, it has been connected to the Chang-6 mission. The special thing is that a Pakistani satellite will also be sent in this mission, its name is CubeSat. This satellite has been developed by IST. It is small in size. It has been made in cubical shape.
When and how will the mission be launched?
This moon mission will be launched on May 3 from China’s Hainan Island via Long March 5 rocket. After a journey of 53 days, China’s spacecraft will collect moon soil and go to Earth. Many new information related to the moon will be obtained from this soil. Earlier, China has also brought moon samples to Earth in 2020 through the Chang E-5 mission. Now once again China is preparing for it.
