Pilgrim priests protest against Kedarnath reconstruction works

The pilgrim priests of Kedarnath Dham have once again protested against the ongoing reconstruction work in Kedarnath. Pilgrimage priests say that the road that was prepared in front of the temple complex after the disaster has been demolished by the administration. Due to which huge potholes have been made in the road ahead of the temple. Pilgrimage priests have alleged that some officials are deliberately doing such things.

Damage to the dhabas and houses of pilgrim priests

The pilgrim priests said that when the road was good, then why was it vandalized again? Due to vandalism, the dhabas and houses of the pilgrim priests have also been damaged. He said that the condition of Kedarnath Dham has become worse due to the disaster in 2013. The administration itself had prepared the road in front of the temple by spending crores of rupees.

Work is being done arbitrarily in Kedarnath Dham

Santosh Trivedi, the pilgrimage priest of Kedarnath, said that work is being done as per one’s wish in Kedarnath Dham. The administration is demolishing roads and houses as per its own wish and destroying the grandeur of the temple. He said that the path which was prepared earlier has now been broken. Along the way, the houses of the pilgrim priests have also been damaged.

Kedarpuri may be closed on May 10

Santosh Trivedi said that this bullying of the administration will not be tolerated. There is huge anger among the people of Kedarnath Dham against the administration. Kedarpuri may be closed on May 10 against such decisions of the administration. He said that he is not against development, but is against this type of work.

Government accused of creating disaster like situation

Pilgrimage priest Kishan Bagwadi said that work should be done in the interest of the pilgrim and such work should be done so that the pilgrims take a good message from here, but the government has created a disaster-like situation in the Dham before the commencement of the Yatra. Pilgrimage priests, laborers and traders are against these decisions of the government and all have called for a bandh on May 10, the day of opening of doors.
