Uttarakhand: CS Radha Raturi took stock of the preparations for the Yatra in Kedarnath and Badrinath Dham, gave instructions to complete the work on time

Chief Secretary Radha Raturi reached Kedarnath Dham on Thursday and took stock of the reconstruction and development works. During this time, Chief Secretary Raturi has given instructions to complete all the construction works by May 10 before the doors open. For this, Chief Secretary Raturi has also asked to use additional labor and resources. He also told the officials that special care should be taken to ensure that the devotees coming to see Baba Kedar do not face any kind of problem.

Chief Secretary Radha Raturi reached Kedarnath by helicopter at around 7.45 am on Thursday. During this, along with the Chief Secretary, Officer on Special Duty (OSD) of Tourism Department, Uttarakhand Government Bhaskar Khulbe, DGP Abhinav Kumar and Tourism Secretary Sachin Kurve were also present. Chief Secretary Radha Raturi first took information about the reconstruction and development works from the District Magistrate and Public Works Department officials.

After this, Chief Secretary Radha Raturi took stock of other under-construction works including Mandakini, Saraswati Ghat, Guest House, Hospital, Astha Path, Kedarnath Temple Complex and gave instructions to complete all the works before the deadline. The Chief Secretary also gave instructions to the officials regarding other essential works including Astha Path and Water ATM, so that the devotees do not face any problem.

Along with this, the District Magistrate was instructed to expedite the construction work by using more resources and rapidly complete the work of the corridor from Gol Chabutra to the temple complex. The Chief Secretary asked all the officers and concerned agencies to take full care of the quality of the materials being used in construction works. Apart from this, he was also asked to take care of the facilities of the devotees and make every possible effort to make the journey smooth and organized. Let us tell you that the doors of Kedranath Dham are to be opened on 10th May.

Chief Secretary Radha Raturi also visited Badrinath Dham on Thursday. He conducted on-site inspection of Chardham Yatra arrangements and reconstruction works. During this, he instructed the officials to make the journey of the devotees simple, easy and convenient and to complete the reconstruction works on time. Chief Secretary Radha Raturi reached Badrinath via Kedarnath by helicopter along with Tourism Department Special Officer Bhaskar Khulve, Tourism Secretary Sachin Kurve and DGP Abhinav Kumar at around 10.30 am on Thursday. On reaching the Dham, he conducted on-site inspection of the yatra arrangements and reconstruction works. The Chief Secretary directed that proper arrangements should be ensured to make the journey of the devotees coming on Chardham Yatra simple, easy and convenient. Alternative routes should also be kept smooth.

While conducting on-site inspection of the reconstruction works being conducted in Badrinath, the Chief Secretary directed the executing agencies to complete the construction works expeditiously with quality. He said that special attention should be paid to timeliness in reconstruction works. During this, he took complete information about Shesh Netra and Badrish Lake, Arrival Plaza, International Bus Stand, River Front Development works. The Deputy District Magistrate informed in detail about the Chardham Yatra arrangements and the progress of reconstruction works.
