Police pensioners got relief from Uttarakhand Transport Corporation, now they will be able to travel for free; I just have to do this work
Police pensioners have been given a big relief in free travel for senior citizens above 65 years of age in ordinary buses of Uttarakhand Transport Corporation. Now he will be able to avail the benefit of free travel on the basis of pensioners card issued from the police headquarters. Till now, like senior citizens, police pensioners were also given the benefit of free travel only on showing Aadhar card.
Under the public welfare schemes of the state government, various categories of passengers are provided free travel in the ordinary buses of the Transport Corporation. In these, benefits are also given to senior citizens above 65 years of age and girl students of all categories.
For free travel, girl students have to apply online and make a monthly pass, while it is mandatory for senior citizens to show Aadhaar card during the journey.
Letter sent regarding not providing free travel on the basis of pensioners card
In this regard, on behalf of Jagdish Arya, Secretary of Police Pensioners Welfare Committee, a letter was sent to the Transport Corporation Headquarters informing that free travel is not being provided in buses on the basis of pensioners cards issued from the Police Headquarters. On Wednesday, Transport Corporation General Manager Deepak Jain issued an order that the benefit of free travel should be given to retired police personnel above 65 years of age on the basis of pensioners card issued from the Police Headquarters.
Action will be taken if SIM card is removed from ticket machine
The Transport Corporation Headquarters has ordered action against the operators who disconnect the internet service by removing the SIM card from the e-ticket machine while traveling in the bus.
In the order issued by General Manager Deepak Jain, it was told that some operators are removing the SIM card from the e-ticket machine, due to which the internet service of the machine is being stopped and online issuance of tickets being made in the bus is not possible. In case of unavoidable circumstances, if the SIM card has to be removed, permission will have to be taken from the depot officer.
