The Enforcement Directorate (ED) in Ranchi has recovered a huge amount of cash after raiding the house of the private secretary of Jharkhand minister Alamgir Alam. ED had received information that corruption was going on in Alamgir Alam’s ministry and this money was going to the houses of servants. After that a raid was conducted at the servant of the minister’s personal secretary. When ED officials reached there, they had no idea that so much cash would be recovered from the house of a person who gets Rs 15,000 as salary. However, now the officials have called the note counting machine and employees.
It was a case of bribe of Rs 10 thousand
In May last year, ED had raided the house of the Chief Engineer in connection with a bribe of Rs 10,000. During this time his statement was recorded. He told that the bribe money is delivered to the minister. After that, the name of Jharkhand Rural Development Minister Alamgir Alam came up for the first time. It was during this investigation that the name of Alamgir’s personal secretary Sanjeev Lal came to light and now this cash has been recovered from the servant working in Sanjeev Lal’s house.

Who is Alamgir Alam?
Alamgir Alam has been a four-time Congress MLA from Pakur Assembly and is currently the Minister of Parliamentary Affairs and Rural Development in the Jharkhand Government. Before this, Alamgir Alam was also the Speaker of Jharkhand Assembly from 20 October 2006 to 12 December 2009. Alamgir started his political innings by winning the Sarpanch election. Rs 350 crore cash was recovered from Congress MP
