Lok Sabha voting is to be held on May 7 in Morena parliamentary constituency in the Chambal region of Madhya Pradesh. The district administration has taken the help of bulldozers to conduct the elections peacefully. The police has clearly written on the bulldozer – ‘If there is any disruption in voting then my work will start.’

The police-administration has deployed a total of 50 bulldozers in the rural areas. In view of the possibility of disturbance in the elections, many people have been identified and notices have also been pasted at their places. Along with this, flag marches have been conducted in the areas and a direct warning has been given to the miscreants.

It may be noted that during the election campaign, there was an incident of firing on Congress candidate Satyapal Singh Sikarwar’s brother Tinku Narendra Sikarwar and Sarpanch. After this, the administration has to work hard to conduct the elections peacefully.

There was violence in the last assembly elections also

Violence was seen in Morena in the 2023 assembly elections. Especially in Tomarghar of Dimani area. This time also BJP candidate Shivmangal Singh Tomar comes from this area.

The completion of Lok Sabha elections is a big challenge for the Morena police administration. Both Congress and BJP candidates come from Kshatriya community. In such a situation, the administration has also received input about violence.

Collector Ankit Asthana said that the administration has therefore identified the people who are spreading violence at sensitive and vulnerable polling stations and has got notices pasted there and as a warning, a bulldozer has been kept which is roaming from village to village.
