Kejriwal, Sisodia and K. Kavita’s judicial custody extended till May 15, accused in Delhi liquor scam

Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, former Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia and BRS leader K Kavita appeared in Rouse Avenue Court on Tuesday in the Delhi Excise Scam case. Special Judge Kaveri Baweja has extended the judicial custody of all three till May 15.
On April 23, the court had extended the judicial custody of Kejriwal and K Kavitha in the ED case till today i.e. May 7, while on April 24, the judicial custody of Manish Sisodia in the CBI case was extended till today. On May 6, the court had rejected the bail plea of K Kavita. The court K. Kavita was allowed to appear physically in the court.
After Arvind Kejriwal did not get protection from arrest from the Delhi High Court on March 21, the ED arrested Arvind Kejriwal after questioning him late in the evening on March 21.
On March 27, the High Court had refused to give any relief to Kejriwal. On March 28, the High Court rejected the petition demanding removal of Kejriwal from the post of Chief Minister. After the Delhi High Court rejected the petition challenging Kejriwal’s arrest, Kejriwal had also approached the Supreme Court.
