Uttarakhand: Forests are burning, Chief Minister Dhami said – Government is working on every front, DGP took meeting

Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami said that our government is working on every front to control forest fire. Along with taking the help of the army, officials have also been instructed to reach ground zero and control the forest fire. Our government is also ensuring that the strictest action is taken against those unruly elements who are causing harm to the forests by setting fire to them.
DGP Abhinav Kumar has given instructions to minimize the response time for taking action in forest fire incidents. He asked to deploy fire vehicles at such places from where they can be reached as soon as possible to control fire incidents. He also gave instructions to identify such forest ranges where incidents of forest fire are occurring repeatedly. The DGP was holding a meeting with officials on Monday regarding preparations for Chardham Yatra and action on forest fire.
The DGP asked to strengthen the security arrangements in time during the opening of the doors of Charon Dham and Hemkund Sahib. He said that if there is any lapse in security arrangements, action will be taken against those responsible. Instructions were also given to appoint Welfare Officer for the accommodation and food arrangements of Home Guard, Police and PRD personnel engaged on Yatra duty. Said that social media plays an important role in any event. In such a situation, it is important not to let misleading posts go viral on social media. Social media should be monitored continuously.
He also gave instructions to correct the behavior of the officers and employees posted on the yatra route. To ensure that their discipline and morale do not decline, he fixed the responsibility of the district in-charge. He inquired about the situation so far on forest fire incidents. Said that on receiving information about forest fire, one should immediately reach the incident site.
