Maharashtra: Sons got 80 year old father married, found 65 year old bride after a long search… The old man was feeling alone after the death of his wife

A unique marriage took place in Amravati district of Maharashtra. Here on May 8, the marriage of an 80 year old groom and a 65 year old bride was organized with great pomp in the pavilion. The people who conducted this marriage were none other than the son, daughter-in-law, grandson and friends of the bride and groom. Actually, the old man’s wife had passed away, after which he was feeling lonely. When the father insisted on marriage, the sons found a bride and got her married.
This case is of Chincholi Rahimapur of Anjangaon Surji taluka. Here, the groom’s 50 year old son also attended the marriage of an 80 year old groom and a 65 year old bride. Son, daughter and family members danced vigorously in father’s wedding.
Actually, the wife of 80-year-old Vitthal Khandare, resident of Chincholi Rahimapur of Anjangaon Surji taluka, had died three years ago. Vitthal Khandare is survived by four sons, daughters and grandchildren. At the age of 80, Vitthal was feeling lonely due to the absence of his wife. Vitthal told his children that he wanted to get married.
Initially the children opposed his decision. However, seeing Vitthal Rao Khandare’s insistence on marriage, his sons also agreed and got ready for their father’s marriage. After this he started searching for a bride for his father. Finding a bride was not easy. That is why the groom’s biodata was prepared.
Considering the age, it was difficult to find such a bride. However, the sons still started searching for a bride for their father. Eventually Vitthal Khandare’s sons talked about marrying a 66-year-old woman from Akot, Akola and the relationship was finalized. After this, on May 8, the marriage ceremony of Vitthal Khandare was organized in Chincholi Rahimapur village. Vitthal Khandare’s son took his father from the village as a groom.
In this procession, the groom and his children were seen dancing together to the song. Seeing this the grandchildren also started dancing. Villagers of Chincholi Rahimapur also participated in this marriage ceremony. The 80 year old groom and 65 year old bride are being discussed in the entire Amravati district including Chincholi Rahimapur village and Akot taluka of Akola district.
