More than 36 thousand devotees reached Teen Dham on the first day, movement of pilgrim priests ends in Kedarnath

Chardham Yatra 2024 has started in Uttarakhand from today. Today the doors of Yamunotri, Gangotri and Kedarnath Dham were opened. On the very first day itself, there was tremendous enthusiasm among the devotees regarding the Chardham Yatra. All three Dhams were crowded with devotees. This is the reason why more than 36 thousand devotees visited Teen Dham on the first day.

Let us tell you that on May 10, the doors of Yamunotri and Gangotri Dham were opened. During this period, a flood of faith was seen in both the Dhams. If we talk about the number of devotees, 12,193 devotees reached Yamunotri Dham today. In which 6,179 men, 5797 women and 217 children were included.

Apart from this, 2,203 devotees came to Gangotri Dham for darshan on the first day. In which 1,293 men, 809 women and 101 children were included. If we talk about those going on Gangotri to Gomukh trek, till now 616 people have gone. Today 53 Indian and 5 foreign tourists went on Gomukh trek.

The doors of Kedarnath Dham were also opened on 10th May. There was a huge crowd of devotees in Kedarnath Dham. This is the reason why the number of devotees crossed 22 thousand on the very first day. In such a situation, it is believed that this time the number of pilgrims to Kedarnath will create a new record.

Badrinath will open on 12th May and doors of Hemkund Sahib will open on 25th May

Let us tell you that the doors of Badrinath Dham will be opened on 12th May. Whereas, the doors of Gurudwara Sri Hemkund Sahib, the holy pilgrimage site of the Sikhs, are to be opened on May 25. For which vigorous preparations are being made.

Movement of pilgrim priests ends in Kedarnath

Even on the occasion of the opening of the doors of the world famous Kedarnath Dham, the pilgrim priests kept Kedarpuri closed, but as soon as the evening came, the priests ended the bandh. After the bandh ended, all the shops, hotels, lodges etc. opened along with the operation of horses and mules on the Kedarnath walking route. Due to which passengers also started getting facilities.

Kedarsabha President Rajkumar Tiwari said that apart from the vandalism regarding the construction of Kedarnath Dham, there was anger in the pilgrim community regarding other problems. The strike has been ended after successful talks with the administration, after which all the traders, pilgrim priests and other people have returned to their work.

Rudraprayag DM Saurabh Gaharwar said that the pilgrim priests had closed their building and buildings for compensation. Continuous talks were going on with the pilgrimage priests, the talks were successful. Similarly, horse and mule operators were also on strike demanding correcting of the road etc. By the evening their strike also ended and the journey went smoothly.
