Uttarakhand: Governor Gurmeet Singh reached Baba Kedar’s door, offered prayers and sought blessings

Governor of Uttarakhand, retired Lieutenant General Gurmeet Singh reached Kedarnath Dham on Sunday for the darshan of Baba Kedarnath. He performed Rudrabhishek of Baba Kedarnath and offered special worship to Baba and wished for the welfare of the world and people. During this, he also reviewed the ongoing reconstruction and development works in Kedarnath. The Governor has also appealed to everyone to make collective efforts to make the Dham plastic free.

Governor Lieutenant General Gurmeet Singh, who arrived on a one-day visit to visit Baba Kedarnath Dham, was welcomed by District Magistrate Dr. Saurabh Gaharwar and Superintendent of Police Dr. Vishakha at the VIP helipad. After greeting all the officers and employees present on duty, the Governor met the Tirtha Purohit Samaj and the Chief Priest. After this, Baba entered Kedarnath temple and offered special prayers and wished for the welfare of the entire world and humanity. During this, he also sought blessings from Baba Kedar for the sustainable development of Uttarakhand. After the puja, the Governor greeted the devotees standing in the temple courtyard and also got them cheering for Baba Kedar. While meeting the devotees, he also took information about their journey and arrangements.

While talking to the District Magistrate and the devotees, the Governor called for making Kedarnath Dham and the entire Yatra plastic free. The District Magistrate was also instructed to pay special attention to this. He also reviewed the ongoing development and construction works in Kedarpuri with the District Magistrate. The District Magistrate presented him the report of the ongoing development works in Kedar Valley at various stages and also provided him information about the works to be done in the future. While appreciating the sanitation workers, team of doctors, district administration, police, NDRF, SDRF and all the people of the temple committee who are contributing in making the Yatra of Kedarnath Dham smooth and well-organized, everyone was inspired to do better work.
