Netherlands team announced for T20 World Cup 2024, 3 players of Indian origin included
The Netherlands cricket team has announced its 15-member squad for the T20 World Cup to be held next month. Three players of Indian origin have been included in this team. The Royal Dutch Cricket Association has retained 27-year-old Edwards as captain despite his mediocre performance in the recent triangular series with hosts Nepal and Namibia. Edwards has scored 671 runs in 56 T20 Internationals for the Netherlands at a strike-rate of 122.
Teja Nidamanuru, Vikram Singh and Aryan Dutt are among the 3 players of Indian origin who have been included. The Netherlands team is participating in the ICC tournament for the third consecutive time after the 2022 T20 World Cup and the ODI World Cup last year.
The team will start its T20 World Cup campaign against Nepal in Dallas on June 4. Four days later, it will face a strong challenge from South Africa in New York. Its last two group matches are against Bangladesh (June 13) and Sri Lanka (June 17).
