Sushil Modi’s last rites were performed with state honors at Digha Ghat in Patna.

The last rites of former Deputy Chief Minister of Bihar Sushil Kumar Modi were performed with full state honors at Digha Ghat in Patna on Tuesday (May 14) evening. His son lit his funeral pyre. On this occasion, all the big leaders of Bihar BJP were present.

Earlier, Sushil Modi’s mortal remains were brought to his Rajendra Nagar residence. All the BJP leaders and workers including Samrat Chaudhary, Vijay Sinha, Radha Mohan Singh, Mangal Pandey were here for the last darshan. A large crowd of common people had also gathered.

Wave of mourning due to the demise of Sushil Modi

Former Deputy CM of Bihar Sushil Modi was undergoing cancer treatment at AIIMS, Delhi. He breathed his last last Monday (May 13) evening. He was 72 years old. His mortal remains reached Patna from Delhi on Tuesday afternoon. The mortal remains reached Sushil Kumar Modi’s residence directly. After this the body was taken to the Sangh office and assembly premises. Deputy Chief Minister cum BJP State President Samrat Chaudhary and other BJP leaders offered him a floral tribute. There is a wave of mourning in the political circles of Bihar due to his demise.

From PM Modi to CM Nitish and Lalu Yadav, his death has been described as an irreparable loss. He has a big contribution in the politics of Bihar. Especially he had a significant contribution in bringing BJP to the top in Bihar. In the journey of politics, he always remained ahead as a hard-working leader and worker. Sometimes in power and sometimes in opposition, he fulfilled his political and social responsibilities very well.

Talking about him, senior BJP leader Giriraj Singh said that Sushil Modi had established the BJP organization in Bihar along with Kailash Pati Mishra. He also brought social change in the party. Every happiness of the society turned into sorrow. His departure has caused a great loss.

Giriraj Singh said, “He cannot be compensated now, but the society will compensate for it in time. He was being missed a lot in this election too. Last time, road shows were organized for me on the last day of the elections. He was of our age. He was a very old friend and will be missed.”
