Indian team will play a warm-up match in T20 World Cup 2024

The ICC T20 World Cup will start from June 1 under the joint hosting of West Indies and America, in which the first match will be played between the US and Canada team on June 2 at 6 am Indian time. Team India will also play a warm-up match before the start of this mega event, in which according to reports, this match can be against the Bangladesh team which can be played in New York. However, no official announcement has been made by the ICC regarding the practice matches so far.

Indian team has to play three matches on the ground of New York

All the players of the Indian team announced for the T20 World Cup are playing in the 17th season of IPL, after which the players will be sent to participate in this mega event in 3 batches, in which the first batch can leave on 25th while the second on 26th May. At the same time, the players playing in the IPL final match will leave after this. The Indian team has to play the first three out of 4 matches of their group stage in the T20 World Cup 2024 at the Nassau County International Cricket Stadium in New York. In such a situation, the Indian Board is trying to get this practice match with Bangladesh held in New York itself. At the same time, some teams are very unlikely to play warm-up matches before this mega event, including England and Pakistan teams, who will play a bilateral T20 series just before the World Cup, the last match of which will be played on May 30.

Indian team will play its first match on June 5 in T20 World Cup

For the first time in the history of T20 World Cup, a total of 20 teams are participating in the major tournament, in which all have been divided into four groups of 5 each. The Indian team is part of Group-A, in which it has to play its first match against Ireland on June 5. After this, Team India will play a match against arch-rival Pakistan on June 9, while India will play its last 2 group stage matches against America and Canada on June 12 and 15. All the group stage matches of Team India will start at 8 pm Indian time.
