Uttarakhand: Chief Secretary Radha Raturi gave instructions to strengthen the public transport system in the cities of the state

Chief Secretary Mrs. Radha Raturi has given instructions to strengthen the public transport system in the cities of the state. He has given instructions for effective implementation of the action plan to operate SPV (Special Purpose Vehicle) excellent city bus services in Dehradun, Haridwar, Rudrapur, Haldwani. It will be started as a pilot project in Dehradun. Under this, operation of CNG buses, PM e-bus service, replacement of old buses and smart city buses are included. The Chief Secretary has made it clear to the officials that implementing urban green mobility in big cities like Dehradun, setting up a special and effective regulatory agency to monitor cost-effective and efficient public transport services in the state with private participation, etc. Our priority is to establish and maintain passenger bus lines for transportation and develop support systems for improving transportation infrastructure.

The meeting of the High Powered Committee of Clean Dynamic Transformation Policy was held in the Secretariat under the chairmanship of CS Smt. Radha Raturi. Principal Secretary Shri RK Sudhanshu, Secretary Shri Arvind Singh Hayanki and other officers were present in the meeting.
