CM Dhami reviewed Chardham Yatra arrangements from Delhi, gave these important instructions to officers

Officials are busy in improving the arrangements for Uttarakhand Chardham Yatra. The current situation is that the arrangements for Chardham Yatra are still in a state of disrepair. Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has held two high-level meetings in the last two days regarding the arrangements for Chardham Yatra.

CM Dhami took Chardham meeting from Delhi

During these meetings, the CM had instructed the officials to go to the by-road dhams and do monitoring. In this sequence, during his visit to Delhi, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami held a review meeting with officials through video conferencing from Delhi. During the meeting, CM Dhami gave strict instructions to the officials and said that they should repair the necessary facilities.

Instructions given to officers through video conferencing

While reviewing the Chardham Yatra arrangements through video conferencing, CM Dhami gave instructions to make the online registration system of Chardham Yatra more effective. Because, the number of devotees coming on Chardham Yatra is likely to increase in the coming years. The travel authority should also consider for better management and operation of all the yatras taking place within the state including Chardham Yatra, Kanwar Yatra, Purnagiri Yatra.

It is everyone’s responsibility to provide Chardham darshan to the devotees

The Chief Minister said that it is everyone’s responsibility to provide darshan of Chardham to all the devotees entering Uttarakhand. Therefore, the journey of the pilgrims has to be completed by becoming a partner of the devotees. In such a situation, all officials should be in alert mode regarding the journey. Along with improving all the basic facilities at the places where passengers are being stopped, the number of toilets should be increased. In case of excessive crowding on travel routes, consideration should be given to alternative routes for evacuation of vehicles. Apart from this, continuous cleanliness campaigns should be conducted on the travel routes.

Instructions to prepare for the weekend

CM Dhami instructed the officials to complete all preparations in view of the upcoming holidays and weekends. For this, instructions were given to the District Magistrates of Haridwar, Dehradun, Pauri, Tehri, Rudraprayag, Chamoli and Uttarkashi to work in coordination. All the officers should go to the ground and take feedback from the devotees, so that even small shortcomings can be rectified in time.
