Uttarakhand civic elections: BJP will take the help of survey to select candidates, waiting for the reservation of seats to be decided

BJP will conduct a survey to select the candidates to be fielded in the civic elections. It will also take opinion polls from the workers. Party state president Mahendra Bhatt said, the process of selection of candidates will start immediately after the reservation of seats is decided. The government will decide the reservation after the election code of conduct.

Bhatt, who returned from the Kumaon tour, said that in seven days he discussed with party officials and workers in 35 civic bodies. As part of the preparations for the elections of Municipal Corporations, Municipalities and Nagar Panchayats, the workers were called upon to motivate more and more people to vote. They were asked to contribute actively towards improving the voter list by May 20.

Regarding the selection of candidates, Bhatt said, the party has made its preparations. Now waiting for the reservation to be finalized. Supervisors will be decided with the announcement of reservation. Observers will go to the districts and they will prepare a list of names of people willing to contest the elections. After this the party will conduct a survey regarding the names. Along with the survey, there will also be a poll of local workers and after that the names of the candidates will be decided.

Bhatt made it clear, we are moving ahead with the aim of bringing record improvement in the past civic results. The party had won six out of eight municipal corporations in the last civic elections. This time the party has targeted to win all the municipal corporations as well as the municipalities.

BJP state president Mahendra Bhatt will campaign for all four Lok Sabha seats of Himachal from May 21. According to Bhatt, the party has already deployed teams of workers and officials in UP, Himachal, Haryana, Delhi, Orissa.

Countered the opposition’s allegations on the yatra
Bhatt hit back at the opposition’s allegations on the travel arrangements. Said, seeing the better arrangements, a record number of pilgrims are coming to Devbhoomi. Devotees have experienced successful and safe journey continuously for the past years. This is the reason why many times more pilgrims than expected are heading to Uttarakhand. The government has already made arrangements regarding travel management and work is being done continuously as per the strategy decided. Chief Minister Dhami himself has been meeting people at Ground Zero for three days and listening to their problems and giving necessary instructions.
