Uttarakhand: In-charge travel secretary R Rajesh Kumar took charge, reached the ground and took stock of the arrangements

Arrangements for Uttarakhand Chardham Yatra are slowly coming back on track. After Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, all the senior officials of the government are personally coming down to the ground and taking stock of the travel arrangements. On Monday, Secretary in-charge of Chardham Yatra and Health Secretary R Rajesh Kumar took charge. Secretary R Rajesh Kumar has left for Kedarnath and Badrinath on Monday.

On the first day of his visit, Secretary R Rajesh Kumar took stock of the arrangements for Chardham Yatra in Rishikesh and Devprayag. During this time, he gave instructions to the officials to rectify wherever he found shortcomings. During this, while talking, Secretary R Rajesh told that he has gone out to review the Chardham Yatra arrangements. The journey is going smoothly. So far, more than one lakh 20 thousand passengers have been screened by the health department.

He said that in future also the health of the pilgrims coming on Chardham Yatra will be checked. More than 50 points have been created to address any health problem of the pilgrims, where more than 26 teams are working with well equipment. Special care is being taken to ensure that there are no problems of any kind in food and drink during the Chardham Yatra. Today he himself is on the ground. If any kind of problem is seen anywhere, it will be removed immediately.

On the question of continuous traffic jam on the Chardham Yatra route, Secretary R Rajesh said that he had left from Dehradun this morning itself. They have not yet encountered any jam on the entire route. Apart from this, strict instructions have been given to the administration that hotels and dhabas should also be inspected from time to time. It is their priority to provide pure food to the passengers.

Apart from this, he told that Medical College Srinagar is going to get a cardiologist soon. A release is being issued for this. Cardiologists are also being given a salary of Rs 6 lakh. The faculty in the medical college will also be increased by bringing new arrangements soon.
