Russia started nuclear weapons testing in Ukrainian territory; Putin had given the order; Iskander and Kinjal missiles included in this
Amidst the Ukraine war, the Russian Army has started tactical nuclear tests with Iskander and Kinzhal missiles. The Russian Defense Ministry said on Tuesday (May 21) that these tests are taking place in the southern military area of Ukraine. This area is quite big. Russia has not told the exact place where the tests are being conducted.
According to Aljazeera, Russia had captured this area in the early days of the war. Belarus is also expected to participate in this testing. Last year, Russia had announced that it would deploy tactical nuclear weapons in Belarus.
Russia is trying to respond to the threats of western countries with this test. Only last month, Russian President Vladimir Putin had ordered his army to conduct nuclear weapons drills. In this he also asked the Navy and soldiers deployed near the Ukrainian border to participate.
Western countries had asked to provide military help to Ukraine
Russia is doing this test at a time when a few days ago NATO and Western countries had talked about sending troops to help Ukraine. French President Emmanuel Macron said last month that if Ukraine asked for help, he could send his troops there.
British Foreign Minister David Cameron had also said that if Ukraine wants, it can use British weapons to attack Russia.
America had given 12 ATACMS missiles to Ukraine in April. Its range is 300 kilometers, which means if it is used in war, it can attack up to 300 kilometers inside Russia.
After this, US Secretary of State Antony Blinken visited Ukraine only last week. Blinken had said that today most of the world is fighting for a free world.
Russia-Ukraine war in third year
The war between Russia and Ukraine reached its third year in February. Ukraine’s weapons and soldiers are decreasing day by day. According to BBC report, more than 50 thousand Russian soldiers have died so far in the Ukraine-Russia war. Whereas Ukraine lost 27 thousand 300 Russian soldiers in the second year of the war. The report also said that the death toll may be higher than estimated.
Earlier in February, President Volodymyr Zelensky had also given the death toll of Ukrainian soldiers. According to Zelensky, so far only 31 thousand Ukrainian soldiers have lost their lives in the war. However, according to American intelligence, more than 70 thousand Ukrainian soldiers have died.
