The forests of Uttarakhand blazed again during the Chardham Yatra…!

The disaster raining from the sky is wreaking havoc in the forests of Uttarakhand. Despite millions of assessments by the Meteorological Department, the state has not yet received the kind of rain that could extinguish the forest fires in the state. The situation is that 32 fire incidents have been recorded in 96 hours. Forests are still burning at many places in the state.
Incidents of forest fire increased in Uttarakhand: The forests of the state started burning in Uttarakhand from November 2023 onwards. Their numbers had increased significantly at the end of April this year. By May, forests in the state burned to such an extent that the Central Government and the Supreme Court had to take cognizance of it. The state government has tried its best, but it does not seem that its efforts have been completed yet. The government is busy in Chardham and here the forests are burning. On the 20th, incidents of fire were reported at 23 places. In these, mainly passing through the residential areas of Ranikhet, the fire had reached many such places, where the Forest Department had to face a lot of difficulty in extinguishing it. It is not that the fire broke out only in the Kumaon region of Uttarakhand, but it had shown its wrath in a large part of Garhwal also. So far six people have died due to forest fire in Uttarakhand.
Fire broke out here: On May 20, 8 forest fire incidents were recorded in the civil area of Uttarakhand alone. Whereas 15 incidents were recorded in the reserved forest area. The Forest Department has tried its best, but the incidents of forest fire are not stopping. This is the reason why even on May 21, fire showed its monstrous form at 9 places. This included Ranikhet, Almora, Narendra Nagar of Garhwal, Lansdowne Forest Division of Mussoorie and Pauri Garhwal.
Forest fire became a problem during Chardham Yatra: Uttarakhand government is currently completely busy in making arrangements for Chardham Yatra. The effort is to ensure that the devotees do not face any problem in any way. Despite this, despite the efforts of the government to calm the forest fires, the forest fires are not being extinguished. The incidents of forest fire are continuously increasing. However, the Meteorological Department says that the heat wave will reduce in Uttarakhand in the coming three days and incidents of forest fire may also reduce.
