Delhi Police on Monday registered an FIR and started investigation after slogans against the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) national convenor were found written inside the metro and at stations.

The accused has been caught on CCTV writing threats. According to sources, the accused is a resident of Bareilly. Police have arrested the accused. The name of the accused is Ankit Goyal. The accused is highly educated and works in a renowned bank. The accused is not associated with any political party. According to police sources, it seems that the mental condition of the accused is not good, but this can be confirmed only after medical examination.

Giving information in this regard, the police officer said, “In the CCTV footage, a young man was seen writing on the signboard and in the coach. It is suspected that this is the same person who had shared the pictures of slogans written on his Instagram account.” He said police collected footage from Patel Nagar, Ramesh Nagar and Rajiv Chowk metro stations on Tuesday. The police officer said that photographs of some messages written inside the metro and at the stations were shared on the Instagram account Ankit Goyal91.
