Dinesh Karthik’s IPL journey ends, receives guard of honor from players

The eliminator match of IPL 2024 saw a clash between Royal Challengers Bangalore and Rajasthan Royals (RCB vs RR). In which Rajasthan won this match by four wickets and ended the journey of RCB.

Meanwhile, RCB wicketkeeper batsman Dinesh Karthik also said goodbye to IPL. Dinesh had given confirmation of this during the match between RCB vs CSK. In such a situation, after Rakab was out of IPL, he got a guard of honor from the players. He also thanked the fans.

Said goodbye to IPL (Dinesh Karthik Retirement)

RR defeated RCB in the eliminator match of IPL and made it to Qualifier 2. Batting first, RCB scored 172 runs. Rajat Patidar scored the maximum 34 runs for the team. In such a situation, Dinesh Karthik could play only 11 runs in his last match of IPL. With the end of RCB’s IPL journey, Dinesh Karthik also said goodbye to IPL. Let us tell you that in the year 2008, Dinesh Karthik was a part of Delhi Daredevils and currently Delhi Capitals. He started his IPL career with this team. After which, in the year 2011, he became a part of Kings XI Punjab, currently Punjab Kings. Joined Mumbai Indians in 2012-13, Delhi Capitals in 2014, Royal Challengers Bangalore in 2015, Gujarat Lions in 2016-17, Kolkata Knight Riders in 2018-21. He remained with Rakab from the year 2022 till present. Now he ended his career with RCB team.

IPL trophy won in the year 2013

In the year 2013, he was a part of Mumbai Indians team. In the same year, Mumbai also won the IPL title. Dinesh has won only one title in his IPL career. Dinesh has also been the captain of Kolkata team. Under his captaincy, he took the team to the playoffs. Till now Dinesh Karthik has played 257 matches in his IPL career. During this period he has scored 4842 runs. The highest score is Dinesh’s unbeaten 97 runs.
