A woman died after coming in contact with a high tension wire in Gholthir of Rudraprayag district. According to the information received, the woman had gone to the tree to cut fodder. While cutting the fodder, she came in contact with the high tension line and died a painful death due to electric shock. The body of the woman remained stuck on the tree for a long time. The SDRF brought down the body from the tree after a lot of hard work.

It is being told that on Saturday, Pooja Devi, wife of Rakesh Singh, a resident of Gholthir, climbed the tree to cut fodder for her cattle. But during this time she came in contact with the high tension line and died. On getting information about the incident, the SDRF team reached the spot and brought down the body of the woman trapped on the tree.
