4 Dham of India: There are four Dhams of India in four directions, each Dham is very special

Char Dhams have special significance in Hinduism. Char Dhams have been established in four different directions of the country. According to religious beliefs, these pilgrimages have great importance. It is said that by visiting Char Dham, all kinds of sins are eliminated and positive energy increases in life.
Four Dhams of India are in four directions
Char Dham Yatra is considered important according to the Tirtha Prakaran of Skanda Purana. Every Dham has its own different characteristics. So let’s know their names (Hindu char dham name). Badrinath Dham is located in the north, Rameswaram in the south, Puri in the east and Dwarka Puri in the west. There is a religious belief that after visiting these four Dhams, a person attains salvation. Their importance is so much that every year lakhs of pilgrims visit them.
1. Badrinath Dham
Badrinath Dham, one of the four Dhams of India, is located in Uttarakhand. It is also known as Vishal Badri. Let us tell you that this Dham is dedicated to Lord Vishnu. Lord Vishnu is seated in a meditation posture in Badrinath located on the banks of the Alaknanda River in Chamoli district. Due to which it is believed that Lord Vishnu remains in sleep for six months and is awake for six months.
For this reason the doors of Badrinath Dham remain closed for six months. Worship is done here only for six months. An eternal lamp is lit here which is a symbol of the eternal light of knowledge. Let us tell you that a garland of Van Tulsi, raw gram lentils, Girika ball and sugar candy are offered to Lord Badrivishal.

2. Rameswaram Dham
Rameshwaram Dham is located on the seashore in Ramanathapuram district of Tamil Nadu. This Dham is surrounded by sea from all sides. Rameswaram Dham is dedicated to Lord Bholenath. Here Lord Shiva is worshiped in the form of Linga. Let us tell you that Rameswaram is one of the twelve Jyotirlingas. It is believed that Lord Rama established this Rameswaram Shivalinga. It is said that before attacking Lanka, Shri Ram worshiped Lord Shiva here.

3. Jagannath Puri
Located in the coastal city of Puri in the state of Odisha, Jagannath Puri is one of the four Dhams of India. Jagannath Temple is dedicated to Lord Krishna. Which is a temple of Vaishnav sect. Lord Jagannath, his elder brother Balabhadra and sister Subhadra are worshipped in this temple. Let us tell you that Rath Yatra is organized every year in Jagannath Puri. Lord Jagannath is mainly offered rice as Prasad.

4. Dwarka Dham
Dwarka Dham is one of the four Dhams of India. This Dham is dedicated to Lord Shri Krishna. This Dham is located in the west of Gujarat state. Which is situated on the seashore. According to religious beliefs, Dwarka was settled by Shri Krishna.

Dwarka is considered one of the seven Puris. Lord Krishna’s clothes are changed in Dwarka Dham. It is said that Lord Vishnu takes bath in Badrinath after which he changes clothes in Dwarka and eats food in Jagannath Puri and rests in Rameswaram.
